Posh is one of those rare
individuals that inherited
only the best that either
parent had to offer.  He has
his Sire's great front end,
his Dam's great back end,
and everything works
together remarkably.  He is
passing it on to his
offspring, producing
outstanding puppies.
Posh has what is considered the ideal reach
and drive.  This requires not only ideal
conformation and angles in front, but a strong
rear structure with ideal proportions and angles.
This rear structure requires not only "low hocks"
but a long femur to carry powerful propulsion
muscles. Only with a long femur can the rear leg
"reach"  more under with the necessary power
to accomplish this support and lift during the
stride

Notice how far under his rear legs reach and
how his front legs respond during his floating
movement.
Posh scored a perfect 100 on his HSDAA hands on Evaluation.
While we have 21 owner handled
Championships, we have never used a
professional handler,  bought advertising in
show magazines, or Specialed a dog.  All those
three things are considered necessary to have
a  dog recognized enough to win big in anything
but a small show.  That's not what we are about,
but do consider it important for a breeder to
show their dogs to their Championships.

Posh's Group placement was before he had
even finished his Championship in a 3,800 dog
show.  In front of him were three "all time most
wins in their breed" dogs in the Toy Group as
were a couple of the ones that didn't get used in
that group finishing behind Posh.  It was maybe
the only time Posh was in the Group Ring under
a Working Judge. This was with Pam handling
him amongst the professional handlers.

The wins you see pictured above are for Posh
being in the ring only a few times.  Pam is now
showing our younger ones and Posh is having a
ball with Agility.

Agility pictures are thumbnails.  Click each for a

Posh does not carry the
gene for the curly coat.

He also does not carry
the gene that produces
the shorthair Havanese.
