Starborn's Frolic N Flair (Frolic)  and Starborn Black Tie Affair (Posh)
Christmas litter Born December 22nd 2011
Frolic and pups 1 day old
Frolic's delivery went very smoothly other than starting at 2:00 a.m.!
Fortunately I had taken a short nap that afternoon....
She whelped 4 boys and 1 girl all different and unique with interesting colors and markings,.  In celebration
of the season we chose the temporary names of Joy, Jolly, Jingle, Cheers, and Sparkle.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!

At 3 1/2 weeks the pups are starting to wobble around and play. The litter box has been added to the whelping pen
and we are placing them in it whenever we catch them waking up. We have also started playing music and
exposing them to new sounds, and continuing to handle (including cutting toe nails) and weigh them daily.

5 1/2 weeks old!
There have been so many new adventures that is was hard to get an update done!....The litter box training is going very well....the bed is
almost always dry now.  Frolic decided 5 weeks was the right time to wean the pups and started demanding that WE feed them<g>! They
are getting a natural milk replacer with softened puppy food added and they don't even seem to miss the milk bar! They devour the food
like little piranha, burp, and then go to the litter box.  They have moved to an ex pen where they have more room to play and their
repertoire of classical music selections is steadily growing! They are always excited to see us and are starting to compete for our
attention with tails wagging......

The time is flying by and the pups are maturing so fast!!  They are eating regular meals of Organix Puppy canned and
Kibble, and doing great on it. Whoever said this breed can be picky eaters have never met my bunch!!....you'd think
it's a race to the finish whenever I put the dish down!!!  They have enjoyed play times outside when the weather
cooperates and also have a larger play ex pen set up in the den beside their cousin Brio (who really enjoys the pups).
Most of their teeth are in and they all have a full compliment of teeth and scissor bites. In a couple of weeks they will
be getting booster vaccines, Baer testing, and Temperament testing, and the decisions made of who should go
where.....  They are a lovely little bunch of puppies and have been so much fun!

We are busy getting the pups ready
for their new homes. They are being
temperament tested, getting first
boosters, and the BAER hearing test.
We've been very fortunate with the
mild weather so that they have had
more time outside than we expected.
They will start leaving in March and
we will surely miss them.  They have
been such fun, easy litter.
